Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Experience and Tours

Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Experience and Tour is a business owned and operated by First Nations people, established in 2014. Our cultural tour consists of a one-hour walk and discussion. We provide visitors with insights into our rich cultural history, language, and customs as handed down through generations of the Luritja and Pertame (Southern Arrernte) desert peoples. The tour features shaded display areas showcasing bush foods, traditional bush medicine practices, wooden artifacts used by men and women, such as spears and boomerangs, traditional trading methods, a vast collection of organic tree seeds used by women for jewellery, and much more.

ABORIGINAL CULTURAL EXPERIENCE TOUR – 1 HOUR

Operating Days: Wednesday to Friday from 01 February to 31 October inclusive. 

Departing tour times from 10:30AM and 2:00PM 

Photographs are very welcome. We respectfully ask that there be NO filming and or voice recording on the tour. 

KARRKE do not provide transfers for travellers. 

Travellers will be required to arrange their own transport to and from KARRKE

Prices 

All prices are displayed in AUD GST included and subject to change.

Infant, Child, Concessions prices

• Infants under four (4) years old travel free of charge.

• Children five (5) years but under eleven (12) years old will be charged at the child rate.

•  Australian students between twelve (12) years old and seventeen (17) years old that are enrolled in accredited secondary or tertiary educations with approved valid student identification card will be charged at the concession rate.

• University / TAFE students eighteen (18) years and over will be charged at the adult rates.   

• Elders who are an Australian resident with a nationally recognised Senior’s card, will be charged at the concession rate.
